College and Adult Application

Enrollment is non-competitive and FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED in order to enable a participant-to-faculty ratio of 4:1.

This ensures that every participant has an unparalleled opportunity to improve their technique and musicianship.

High School Participants: Please see the High School Application page.

Participants may choose to attend one or two weeks:

The first day of each week is an arrival day. The last day of the week is a departure day, allowing 6 full days of instruction each week. Multi-week participants have two free days between sessions.

COST: $1,895 for one week; $3,790 for two weeks;

Non-playing spouse, etc. auditor's fee is $944.

Extra day(s): $74.12 each, including tax, our room and board rate at Camp Ogontz. You may arrive a day early for any week and/or stay an extra day at the end of weeks 1 and 2. Please note that if you choose to not stay at Ogontz that our prices are not negotiable.

Considering that the price of one week's tuition is $1,291 (excluding room and board) our participants pay about $21 per instruction hour. Many of our instructors charge $100 an hour or more privately. Also, please remember that we are nonprofit, so these prices are set to only break even on expenses.

Application deposit: $200 per week (nonrefundable unless enrollment is full). Balance is due by May 15, 2018

"Revisiting fundamentals many times with Kendall has given me greater
confidence and has helped solve several long-standing playing issues.
Several weeks at KBHC have turned me into a better teacher, because studying with a wonderfully diverse faculty gives you a greater variety of "tools in your belt," enabling you to approach students' problems from different directions The sense of camaraderie among campers aged high school students through octogenarians is palpable. And of course, the inspiring beauty of Camp Ogontz's rustic mountain setting and the fabulous made-from-scratch cuisine round out a thoroughly worthwhile experience."
